As a DM running games based on the 5E system, I've always needed to produce compelling scenes very quickly. Now that I'm working on a setting that isn't nearly as popular as D&D, I need to make everything myself from scratch. These are some samples of the battlemaps I'm producing, using all of my own assets (Transparent PNGs that can be combined to quickly build out a map).
Dungeondraft is a highly specialized tool that I'd sum up as a mash between a game-engine's map maker and photoshop for tabletop games. The user can import patterns, textures, walls and objects, which can then be rendered in layers. The final product is a single flat JPG (or PNG's for higher levels), properly scaled and ready to drop into Foundry VTT (my favorite), Roll20.net or printed out.
