Hell Divers - The Hive

2024 Update: This is totally unrelated to the HellDivers game, though I am enjoying HDII a lot!

Based off of the airship in the book series "Hell Divers" by Nicholas Sansbury Smith. There are more detailed descriptions of this airship sprinkled throughout the books, so I guarantee my rendition isn't accurate. If I can ever convince Smith to send me a sketch, I'll rebuild it from scratch :)

The Hive is a future air ship and the home to the last humans on Earth. After the bombs fell, our world became a hellscape of radiation and storms. The people of The Hive wander the stormy heavens in search of supplies, and perhaps some day, a home upon the surface.

The book series is among my favorites, and I encourage any scifi or post apocalyptic fan to check them out. R.C. Bray's readings on Audible are masterful performances, and in my opinion, the best way to consume these books.
